Unit Tech - Special Procedures Department: Ambulatory Treatment Unit Schedule: Casual Call Shift: Days Hours: Varied hours; varied shifts; casual call Job Details: * Job Summary: Under general supervision of the RN, serves as an integral member of the patient care team by performing clerical and receptionist functions for assigned unit. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned area. Minimum Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent Registration/Certification or License Required: Heartsaver CPR (or completed within 60 days of hire) Preferred Certification: Certified Nurses Aide Certificate Preferred Education: Preferred Experience: Prior experience as Unit Clerk in health care facility Knowledge of medical terminology Computer literacy Bilingual Management Experience (If applicable): Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting for shift duration Ability to lift 50+pounds Frequent computer work Able to tolerate frequent interruptions in workflow Visual and auditory acuity Other Requirements:
