Department: Zeeland Rehab Inpatient
Schedule: PTB
Shift: Days
Hours: 8hr shifts;more hrs possible & wknds;8hrs per 2wk pay period
Job Details:
* Job Summary:
The speech/language pathologist evaluates patients, establishes goals and treatment programs, treats patients according to diagnosis utilizing therapeutic modalities and procedures as prescribed and indicated, supervises and delegates tasks to supportive personnel, maintains appropriate records, communicates patient progress to physicians and other health care workers as indicated, meets department productivity expectations, accepts responsibility for personal and professional growth and performs other duties as assigned. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.
Minimum Education/Training:
Master''s degree
Registration/Certification or License Required:
Certification or eligible for certification from ASHA
Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider Certification (or completed within 60 days of hire)
Preferred Education:
Certification completed
Preferred Experience:
1 to 2 years
Management Experience (If applicable):
NO
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., ability to push or pull on a wheeled device up to 200 lbs., prolonged standing/walking up to 6 hours a day, frequent bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling and reaching
