Housekeeping Services Assistant Department: Housekeeping Services Schedule: PTA Shift: Days Hours: 8 hr day shifts between 6am-5:30pm, includ e/o wknd:0.5FTE Job Details: * Job Summary: The Housekeeping Services Assistant works under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Services Group Leader and is responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of patient and non-patient areas, prepares rooms for incoming patients and performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for linen processing. Minimum Education/Training: No prior experience or training. Registration/Certification or License Required: None Preferred Education: Preferred Experience: Housekeeping in Hospital or office setting. Management Experience (If applicable): Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to push or pull on a wheeled device up to 500 lbs. Prolonged standing/walking in excess of 8 hours a day. Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and kneeling. Other Requirements: No allergic reaction to cleaning or finishing solvents. Must be able to read work instructions and effectively communicate with all patients during high volume shifts. This position is a day shift position, hours may vary - depending on the 8 hour shift needed, but the shift will not start before 6:00 am and will not typically work after 5:30 pm, This position will require working every other weekend. Typically this position will work a part time schedule of 40 hours in a two week pay period.
