Title: Electrical Maintenance Tech 0 Location: US-MI-Holland Other Locations: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing PM requirements on all types of equipment in the facility (pneumatic tools, electronic tools, conveyor systems, etc.) Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand tools, cranes, hilos and inspecting for root cause. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on all manufacturing equipment on facility. Troubleshoot ability with control programs on programmable devices (IE: A-B, RS Logix, Panel View, etc.) Safety is everyone's responsibility. Be vigilant to identify & prevent any potential safety concerns. Communicate and document to Engineering and fellow team members any issues that may inhibit daily production (i.e.: issues with machinery, fixturing, materials, etc.) Maintain organization, safety, and 5S procedures of area Work with the site EMSO to generate accurate, reliable equipment documented history through Maximo system. Recommend and specify spare parts for equipment and follow procurement through to completion. Work overtime as necessary Communicates Escalation Procedures for downtime Skills and Experience: Require the following skill sets, proficiency and experience to perform the job: Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude Demonstrated strong critical thinking and trouble shooting skills Ability to read machine drawings and control schematics Excellent and effective communication skills. Ability to talk technically about the process and products to ensure the right information is communicated. Experience in use of calipers, metric scales, mechanical hand tools, powered hand tools and other maintenance related equipment Familiarity with automated welding equipment Familiarity with robots and robot controllers Ability to follow technical documentation Requirements: Previous experience working in a maintenance department in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience working with maintaining automated machinery. Basic Electrical knowledge Willingness to travel for short periods as needed. High school GED, prefer a journeyman's program completion
