Clinical Coordinator Department: Surgery Center Schedule: Full Time Shift: Days Hours: variable shift length btw7a-5:30p; 80hrs per 2 wk pay period Job Details: * The Coordinator, a qualified RN, assists the Department Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the unit. This function is in accordance with Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1078, Article 15 (Health Occupations), Part 172(Nursing), the ANA Registered Nurse Standards and the Holland Hospital Professional Nursing Practice Handbook. Under the direction and delegation of the manager, assists with planning, implementing and evaluating current practices to promote high-quality, cost-effective care; ensures focus and emphasis on enhancing patient and staff satisfaction; performs other duties as assigned. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area. Minimum Education/Training: 3 years clinical experience in Surgical Services. Registration/Certification or License Required: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. Current ACLS for the Healthcare Provider or completed within 60 days of hire. Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Specialty Certification. Preferred Experience: Management Experience (if applicable): Previous management/leadership experience. Physical Requirements: Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs (Patients on bed, stretcher). Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs (ie. Patient). Occasional sitting. Occasional twisting, bending, reaching squatting, kneeling. Occasion keyboard use. Frequent standing, walking. Frequent talking, hearing. Other Requirements: Willing to work as a staff RN as needed. Computer literate. Must be exceptionally dependable, emotionally stable, and have ability to work under stress. Ability to work effectively and communicate with all types and conditions of patients. Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to organize.
